Known as Canada’s Prettiest Town, there’s no doubt that you’ll love your visit to Niagara-On-The-Lake. From wineries to hiking to amazing food, you’ll never run out of things to do in this gorgeous Ontario town. Here, Benny Marotta shares his must-see-stops in this small town that’s packed with character.

1. Queens Royal Park

Connect with nature at Queens Royal Park, a preserved area that dates back to the 1700s. You’ll have a great view of Old Fort Niagara, located in the United States just across the river. Take your time and have a seat in the large gazebo on the park that overlooks the river. If you’re feeling ambitious, get there early to enjoy a sunrise over the river.

2. Niagara Apothecary

When you walk into the gorgeous Niagara Apothecary, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported back to a simpler time, when small-town drugstores were the place where community members came to gather and get well. This former pharmacy has been restored into a museum, where can immerse yourself in the idea of what life was like for residents of Niagara-On-The-Lake back in 1820, when the pharmacy building that now houses the museum first came into operation.

3. Two Sisters Vineyards

Launched by Benny Marotta in 2007, Two Sisters Vineyards is a renowned winery situated in the heart of the Niagara River area. Together with his team, Marotta works to create delicious wines enjoyed by people around the world. When you visit Two Sisters, be sure to call ahead to reserve a time for a tour or tasting. Don’t forget to bring a friend–group tasting events are a great way to kick back, relax, and enjoy great company.

4. 124 on Queen Hotel

Be sure to enjoy every bit of the charm of Niagara-On-The-Lake by staying at one of the beautiful hotels in the area. 124 on Queen Hotel is known for providing guests with a home away from home where they can kick back and relax after a day of enjoying wineries and seeing the sights that the town has to offer. At 124, you’ll enjoy a breakfast basket delivered to your room each morning, and can even ask for a suite with a fireplace to keep you cozy.

5. Treadwell Farm to Table Cuisine

Ready to fill up after a long day of exploring? You’ll want to be sure to check out Treadwell, a local restaurant known for providing diners with carefully curated, freshly made food that you’ll be talking about for months after your visit. For an appetizer, be sure to check out the Brioche Crostini Strawberry Gazpacho, and you won’t want to miss out on the Spinach and Goat Cheese Ravioli for your main course. Don’t forget to save room for dessert–Benny Marotta recommends the Pistachio Tart served with Quiet Acres’ Raspberries.
